What was the highlight of iH Hotels Milano Watt 13
Overall, the staff made our stay in Milan enjoyable.
Breakfast is wonderful. Breakfast in Italy's hotel is really nice, a lot better than America's Continental Breakfast. Their offerings are also so much healthier and tastier. This hotel's breakfast is in line with other hotel's breakfast. The staff is excellent. They told us how we can get to and from the Metro (subway). Once there, they gave us clear directions to navigate the subway. (we were going to and from San Siro Stadium for a Taylor Swift Concert).
They are very accommodating (that is good). I think they don't like confrontation, so I feel that rules change mid way. Here is what happened. The housing staff threw away our pizza/calzone and plastic bag (we were using the plastic bag to put dirty laundry in). We complained and they try to make it right. (which was nice, no complaint there). We (hotel staff and us) agreed... we send a copy of the receipt. We were given a choice of waiting until Monday for the main Manager to give us the refund on the food or get free bar. We chose the free bar (basically, drank the water not the alcohol). I wish they would have explained to us the deal was only for one night. Instead, the next day, I find them charging us for water bottles. If I did not ask, it would had been a surprise. The one complaint/suggestion... please tell the guests the rules. You could have explained ahead of time the free bar was only for one night (because the cost of the water bottles would be comparable to the cost of thrown out food). I would have understood that. This would prevent further surprises. in the end, I decided not to accept the extra bottles of water the next morning. Also, they said the prices for the mini-bar is posted. It was not. We had to ask if the minibar was free (It was not). Since we do not know the cost of the water, we avoided the mini-bar. (except for that one night... see above comment).

Very good stay with excellent breakfast.
Good location and good room. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety and fresh options every day.
This is my second stay in this hotel. The previous one was 7 years ago and I feel the bathroom needs some maintenance/update. It used to be much newer.

iH Hotel business trip.
I came to the hotel for a business trip. The room was clean and tidy although I had to ask for the toilets to be re-cleaned. There is a supermarket and a number of restaurants, pubs and cafes within walking distance of the hotel.
I had to ask to be moved to another room because there are non-smoking rooms that are adjacent to smoking balconies and the smell entered the rooms. In addition, on Sundays, everything around is closed and there is nowhere to go except to take a taxi to the city center
